But rural Bengal is still like a hopeless and destitute circle in the circle of ‘hopeless directionless darkness’. The idea of upgrading the school to a junior high school started from 1950-51, but  In 1954-55, the school was sanctioned as Ramnagar Junior High School. Later, with the tireless efforts of Navanidhar Mitra, Professor Mahadev Chattopadhyay and Dr. Sudhanshu Shekhar Roy of the high school and with the help of local educationists, the school was upgraded to Ramnagar High School in 1964. In 1998, the school was developed at the higher secondary level with the initiative of Dr. Amit Chattopadhyay and with the cooperation of all. Today the Ramnagar High School is a traditional school and a tool for acquiring knowledge.
